I think it depends on the post. Bumping a "merry christmas" post is just stupid... seeing as to how it's february. He was just doing it to be a jackass.

Wait a minute. You mean to tell us that you can read minds across the internet? Did you really talk to him? How do you know he was "being a jackass"? Granted, he appears to be a jackass by doing jackass things, but maybe he was actually acting like an asshole instead. I think it falls sort of in that catagory.

Maybe he is just wacked out, no jackassing involved. Beyond retard.

So as Sam has been put on moderation, I would like it pointed out to me where bumping old threads is against board rules. As much as it may be annoying and so forth, I don't believe he has actually contravened any rules per se.

Bumping and digging up threads from 2002 and reply to them with "Ok" "lol" is pure spam, why not leave those threads alone? It could be fun and intresting for some people I guess?

Bumping an old post that has some sort of value or interest is fine, but bumping 50 posts, simply to annoy the mods who were on at the time (and come on, you can't tell me there was any other reason than that), is childish and it IS spam. And regardless of what anyone may think, this area of the forum still falls under forum rules. They may not be as heavily enforced, but crap like what happened last night will always be dealt with.

I find it really amusing, that everyone complains about the atmosphere around here "sucking" lately, and yet some of those same people complaining are the ones who are content to (excuse my language) fuck the place up.

I for one find it annoying when someone bumps a thread just by typing the word 'bump'. If you want your topic to get back to the top of the list, use your brain and make an effort to say something interesting or relevant to the thread. Otherwise, as NikkiD said, it's just SPAM!

I already mentioned this once

tell me where in the rules that it says it is prohibited to bump dead threads??

OK let me bump all my god music threads then mods put me on moderation for it go ahead

it's childish to do it yes but if the Admin in mods don't have a sense of humor then this place is certainly f*cked up it's ass if it hasn't already

the days where you used to birth about myself and FC as the spamemrs are long gone now you get the real deal Mods bwhahahahahahaahh :P

If the mods are gonna put people on moderation for bumping 'dead' threads, at least change the rules. Just because people bump old threads (however irritating it may be) doesn't allow mods to move the goalposts.

When I said old threads from 2002 I ment old threads.
Let the old topic's be a part of the forum history. (Meaning do not reply to them)
I guess We will have to add a rule about this sooner or later.
