i just got this card so win98 can give me my 30 gigs of space i have left on my harddrive. But it wont let me install the drivers it says cant find them on the cd.

can anyhelp me do this?

is there is setup.exe file on the cd, run that, or you may have to browse to the right folder for example, drivers, english, win98, disk1 or something like that

You can search for the correct driver there if you cant get the ones off your cd to work :)

i installed it but how do i hook it up? so i can get my 30 gigs back? do i have to hook the hardrive to the card and back to the motherboard or what?

the card goes in the PCI slot, then the IDE cable goes from the card to your hard drive. As long as you have installed the drivers for the card it should see the 30 gigs. Granted if you have already formatted the drive before you installed the card then you will still only see only that part. You would have to backup your stuff and then re fdisk the drive and format it to the full capacity. Also you could try a program called Partition Magic and see if you can extend your current one without having to format. GOOD ADVICE: Backup your data first.

it wont read ne thing from the C drive now, which side do i plug the harddisk into? red or blue

Why don't you just go to fdisk (in Dos) then make another partition 30 gig(or whatever is left) can't understand why you've put a card in,its '98 your using not XP.

on this comp i am using 98 cause it dont meet minimum requirements for xp
