i started to .rar a .bin, but it didnt look like it was making any gains on space :unsure:

but i only let it get to around 8% or so...

you can convert it to an .ISO with winISO this will reduce the filesize

thought about that, but i was hoping to make a really good gain on size,
say, for an over the web transfer :D

the file in question is around 370 megs in .bin format :lol:

am i just wishin? or is there really hope? :P

Yep, that'll make it much smaller than a .bin file. Then you can compress the .iso with WinRAR to make it even smaller (set it to Best compression method).

yep, compressing a .bin doesn't do much, but Nightwolf's method should knock the size down a decent amount
