The K-Lite/FilesharingHelp Team



This version comes with a very intersting new feature. It's called fake analysis and it's purpose is to avoid downloading fake files.
It scans your search results for possible fakes and marks the search results as good (star) or bad (red bug).

Of course it's impossible to detect all fake files, but you will see that it already works with a high accuracy

The accuracy of this feature depends on a up-to-date BannedIPs list!!!

Yes MM you can chose a select group of items and chose a action for them now in RC15. It also has a find more source option for select groups of downloads (which wasnt in KLE).

Hey FTFAKES its really great that you have stopped people leeching the fasttrack network. Don&#39;t get me wrong the previous version of Kazaa lite that Random nut and Rocko developed was great BUT they shouldn&#39;t have had the option to stop sharing files without any other limitations occuring as a result. This is why the fasttrack network has downgraded and does not produce as fast downloads as it used to. Now at least with your version more people will hopefully share on the network and the number of sources available will increase making it a great P2P network.And if the rumour is true that Kazaa lite is being stopped from connecting to some super nodes then more people will hopefully use K-lite which would be great&#33; Great work B)

But you can still use K-Lite, its just not finished and still has bugs. But theres a built in accelerator. Its just not included with RC16 since it came out after RC16. You have to download it seperately.

Fpr 2.62 we need a new klr, but I don&#39;t htink we we need it for deleting the *.tmp file. FTFaks "promised* to add it to the KHancer as an extra option (to the ASM or FMS?) when the time comes...

would it be possible to add the feature where when u close K-Lite that it automaticly clears the web history and P2P search history???

also when u install a new version, it starts giving "web address in use error" could there be a option in the installation to pick if u want the "Show webserver error messages" on or off???

i use DK because it allows me to use the full media bar w/o the invisible ads panel appearing......DK makes it dissapear and i can see the full media bar (yes i like the media bar&#33;&#33;) also another good idea is the ability to move up or down tools in the tool menu (like in 2.4.3......you know you add a add-on tool and you can place it higher up or lower down the tools list....i want winamp to be first :P)

First of all it reminds us of da dreaded sharman :pirate: and plus in my opinion, as K-lite is a much better version than the original kazaa it would be nice to see the colours different jst to make it stand out. And another ting is that as kazaa K++ used to be a blue colour. It wud be nice the same wud happen to this kazaa. All that basically needs to be done is that a new skin has to be created (I think...correct me if im wrong Lite/FTfakes) and Lite said that this wud be in 2.6.1... ;) HOPEFULLY :lol:

Let me tell you something stronger ;)

2 days ago I did a clean windows ME, with a formated C & virtual D drive, installation and tried it directly after the installation with only my internet provider installed on it and nope no result :(
I tried even this url www.fasttrackhelp.com and it won&#39;t f*****g :angry: load.

I used the command line;

You can try it yourself if you want :rolleyes: and give a diognostic to yourself ;) It&#39;s now as good as stable with this latest release :D And if you don&#39;t like it you can allways uninstall it afterwarts <_< If you don&#39;t try it you don&#39;t know what you are (or not) missing :D

Some advantages are multitab search support and it connects to the latest supernodes and I think that its got all, or almost all, the futeres of K-Lite K++ :unsure:

Well, Kazaa Lite 2.43 has all old tools now. So if you use the tools you might as well get Kazaa Resurrection since they are basically the same except it has the newest tools. K-Lite runs on a different core. (Kazaa lite/resurrection on KMD 2.02 and K-lite on KMD 2.60). K-Lite isnt as stable as the others but its getting there. Has most of the features and is still in development. But yeah, try them out. You can install Kazaa Lite 2.43 and K-Lite at the same time, just cant run them at the same time.

Well,
To purge results you have to do it manually: Options--&#62;Clear P2P Search History ;)

To edit the "start" page: Im not sure if you mean the page shown in the search area or the one shown in the web tab. But for the webtab just change the option located in the KHancer options. If you want to change the page shown on the search area, you have to modify the html document located in the web folder of the K-Lite directory. :)

For internal icons, its just GUI. Not that important. But it will come after the final is out B)

he actually tried to make the runtimes downloadable through the installer in rc21 but it didn&#39;t work, i found that bug :P, anyways he just removed the feature fixed a few other bugs and called it rc21b ;) :lol:

the next K-Lite release will include the ocx&#39;s & the other runtimes the one you posted above doesn&#39;t include, says Lite :)

Kazaa Media Desktop has spyware and adware. K-Lite, Kazaa Lite, and Kazaa Resurrection are exactly like Kazaa Media Desktop only it contains no spyware/adware and has more tools and options/features. You should uninstall Kazaa Media Desktop and check for spyware/adware and then install K-Lite. Kazaa Media Desktop isnt wise to have on your computer.

you can make any page you want and only put it in the web folder and rename the index file to start.html then replace the old start.html with you new one and all files related to the page u created

What is K-Lite?


Its A Addon For Kazaa Media Desktop v2.6 with lots of extra features and very useful tools. Some of the enhanced features are, IP blocker, unlimited amount of search more, no ads and built in toolbar.

What are the specific differences between K-Lite and KMD?

What makes K-Lite better is that it contains no spyware, adware or advertising.

But also a lot of extra functionality has been added. Mostly through the KLR loader and the Khancer plugin.

About KLR

KLR is a loader for K-Lite that improves some of the functionality of the program. It was made by random nut.

What KLR does is load KMD into your computer memory. This is also done by Windows when you run a program. The difference in this case is that KLR modifies parts of the programs code while doing so. This way it was possible to change some of the internal functions used by KMD.

Some examples of this extra functionality are:
* Starts faster and uses less memory
* No unnecessary DLLs loaded

A good thing to have for the download accelerator extension would be something that kept your download bandwidth usage saturated when you have a lot of downloads going. Just like there is the option to keep the number active downloads between x and y, there should be an option to control the number of active downloads so that, lets say you have ADSL, bandwidth usage is kept at 1.5 MBits
This would maximize the efficiency of Kazaa I think.

I wasn&#39;t able to connect or log-in to the K-Lite v2.6 Forum just now.
Is it down or is it me?

Anyway, I was going to look around to see if this question had already

I find that using File>Jump Supernode in 2.6 seems to be just as effective as
using Kazupernodes so I&#39;ve been using it a lot.
But, it&#39;s a little inconvenient always going to File and getting the dropdown.

Could a button be added to the top of the Traffic Window for quicker access
when wanting to Jump Supernode instead of going to File>Jump Supernode?

Well it might come out soon. But be sure several users are already switching networks, and if they find the other networks more satisfactory, then I don't think they will ever switch back to Kazaa Lite again. For example most of the friends I know have switched to Emule, Ares or Bittorrent.. and yes they are satisfied. This change was mostly due to SP2 upgrade and several problems with the existing lite versions, with no hope of being updated soon.

It feels sad to see such a sad end of such a great client, yes I enjoyed it greatly while it was usable.

I used edonkey and emule but i am not that happy with both of them specially emule ... so many sittings and options that make you unsure what to choose ,,, i like k-lite allot but the developers spend so much time doing nothing but ignoring every remark about the (loosing users issue2) and so this happened

1- emule and EDONKEY are good but they are server related (big issue by it self)

2-bittorent (less seeding and less files and the most important i no old files and software’s)

3-other networks less users and less files swell

4-k-lite can be used in a useful way even with dialup ,,, easy to use and until this moment many users , and files

a little development update:

fixed all khancer features on XP. win9x still causes some problems.
added unlimited search more (and auto search more of course).
added a domain blocker (replacement for the hosts file).
changed the port of the internal webserver to 87, so no more problems if you run a another webserver on your machine.
a lot of crapware block and removal code optimization.

at the moment i'm working on a new clean installation system for KMD. it will be easier to use and should cause less problems. it will be a bit more like DK armor but of course better
features that arent finished yet are the IP blocker and a p-level hack.
already found solutions for both, but it's a lot of work so it will take some time.
the p-level hack will let you freeze the p-level.

IP blocker is partial finished. at the moment it only blocks outgoing connections. so 90% of the work is done.

Yes, K-Lite 2.7 is fully independent, no more klr.exe :D

If someone was to reverse-engineer the KMD, I doubt they'll
post instructions etc about it.

eventually making k-lite, version independent is one of the of the goals ftfakes has in his mind ???? i hope since using another loader other than klr make it easier to modify the coding ... i hope k-lite will be out very soon
