Extracting The Files From .tar's

i have d/l 'ed a movie (.tar format) and i understand that you need to extract it with winrar which i have got. When i do so though..i extract the .rar file and then the .bin file appears which is right but then when i try to extract the .bin file it keeps asking me for different volumes or something on the similar lines to it. All i want to do it extract the .bin then convert and then burn it...

Please let me no wot u think i need 2 do in relation to ma problem. Thanks in advance. :rolleyes:

double click the one you want to use.

Then choose Select The program from the list

THen choose the program you that will extract the file. For me its Winwar.

Then press< Extract To> Press Ok.Then you should see it extracing

then go to the new created file, you can find this New file in the directory the you first extrated the tar rar file.Just look around if you cant find it, it should be there.

Next, after you find the new file open the file up and if youu have alot of little files click on the smallest file that is a tar rar or par

i choose the last file because it is the smallest.Then repeat the process again and you should get a mpeg or and bin and cue .If you get a bin and cue file you could burn it with nero image selection or a mpeg will burn in nero too.

he already has the .tar file extracted, that lil tut you just wrote was completely pointless.

anyway, a bin file is a cd image. just burn it with nero or you can convert it to an mpeg with vcdgear or you can just watch it with videolan player.

If burn the .bin file on nero as a VCD will it play on my DVD player or do i need something else?

I tryed to convert it to mpeg with VCDgear but it keeps sayin &#39;missing cue file&#39;.

do you have videolan?? if not get it here (http://www.videolan.org/vlc/).
It will play the bin file for you, just drag the bin file onto your videolan icon and it will play.

No, all i want to do it burn the movie onto disk. Is it possible to burn the .bin file as a VCD on nero?
