Aparently my PC has Ethernet 10 BASE-T/100 BASE TX

i was wondering what it was and what it's used for :)

It's a card inside your PC for connecting to broadband. The majority of computers these days all have one.

do you have high speed internet? if so then it is most likely hooked up through the ethernet card\port on motherboard.

I have ADSL which i hooked up though a USB modem

Have a look on the back of your modem to see if there is an ethernet slot unused. If there is it might be a good idea to switch from USB to ethernet. It is much more stable.

I've never seen any problems with stablity before on systems using USB for broadband. However I do agree with you, that if the modem has an ethernet hook up, he should switch it to ethernet instead. Mostly though, why use a USB connection when you can free that up and use the connection just made for it.
