Greetings,

Dis might sound pretty dumb, but i wanna know how can i completly turn off firewall.
Hardware firewall- This in clude routers, switches and I dont think you can unless you go into the router's config and forward all the tcp/udp requests to your LAN ip. For that you'll need admin access to the routers config.
My linksys router lets' me do that by opening my browser
Type in http://192.168.1.1 in the address bar
User Name dont put anything there. LEave blank
Type in the admin as password (default is admin I"ve changed it though  ) if you changed that type in the password you use
Go to Advanced then Forwarding
There you type in your Application Name, Port Range, Type (TCP/UDP) and your local IP ADDRESS it should be something like 192.XXX.XXX.XXX
Select Enable and apply and THAT"S IT! You now are exposed to the internet

Software- If it's the default windows xp just Right lickc NETWORKS PLACES
Then Right click your Network Connection (LOCAL AREA CONNECTIONS/ DIAL UP CONNECTION) go to ADVANCED
Unclick Protect my computer...blah blah blah
That takes care of WINDOWS XP firewal wich is crap.
Any other Software firwall like Zone Alarm/Sygate/Norton they should be on your right hand corner by the right click the icon of your firewall and select disable. That should kill the firewall.

Hpe this helps GOOD LUCK!

if its a linksys router you need to inter 192.168.1.1 in the address bar.
