An emulator allows you to play a game on the pc that was made to be play on a concole (i.e. ps2, xbox, ps1...) At the moments there arent any that work very good for ps2 games.

If its a cartridge or arcade style game, you just need the ROM file on your PC.
If its a CD based game, then you need it on CD. *As far as I know*.

The best PS2 emulator is PCX2, but it hasn't gotten to the stage where it will run games perfectly. The developers are still working on it.
You can see it here..

You can go ahead and get it... if you have those 4 or 5 games they have been able to patch for to work.

win32, hence the "win"

But even when you download it, you won't be able to play anything. Most games that it will load, will just freeze within a minute of loading. The rest just won't load period.

You can use any type of PS2 controller, but you'll need a USB adapter that will let you plug it into your PC.

i dont know if this will help you but i thought i might as well post it.

do you want inf of sites to get them from? you didnt explain it very well, next time ou sould include a detailed question or point to help people help you faster and make the fourms a better place. ;) Now thats over.

Recently iv been playing Genesis games alot and i would recomend the emulator named 'Gens' just google it, its not hard. It Plays very very well with sound and even has joy pad support. As for games there are a alot of sites but most make you vote or pay. The best ones i have found are ROMGUY (http://www.romguy.com) and a site called EMU-RUSSIA (http://emu-russia.km.ru/index_en.php) this is the english version of the site. If your russian theres a russian link at the side. Both sites offer games for free without voting. Romguy is very good for game boy advance'd games where as i use Emu-Russia for the bulk of my Genesis games.

I dont persoanlly play PSX emulators cause i find them to buggy/laggy and theres just not decent websites to get them. However if you do want to there is a program called BLEEM! (http://www.megagames.com/psx/psx_bleem!.shtml) That isnt the offical website because i couldnt find it quickly however a quick search on K Lite showed up many results. As for Roms i have only ever been able to get them off of Kazaa Lite but always remember to Virus Scan everything you get for K Lite!

If you dont have an Anti Virus a strongly suggest you get AVG Anti Virus (http://www.grisoft.com/us/us_index.php) Its very through and you can scan only certain files with its intergrated shell.

Peerzyboy ;)

And no you can play Playstaion games on your PC without the CD and just using a downloaded ROM. Im sure if you search IRC or Kazaa you will get lots of results so don't bother paying for BLEEM! Although i highly recomend(sp) the illigal download.

good cuz i already have a controller 4 pc and it looks the same as the ps2 controller and the difference is dat mine is blue :D

LOL.. why didn't you say that to begin with?

If you already have a PC controller that's reasonably similar to a PS2 pad, theres no need for an adapter.
You can usually configure any PC controller (as long as it has enough buttons etc) within the emulator software.

I use a cruddy old Quickshot PC gamepad to play NES and Gameboy games on my PC, and it works perfectly.

Perhaps it's time you Googled for Visual Boy Advance, so you can see for yourself what emulated gaming is all about.

Visual Boy Advance will play all gameboy, GB Colour and GB Advance games.
It's very easy to set up and makes a great starting point for emu noobies.

Happy gaming.
