The worst part is that they don't tell you how many points you've lost because of those things....

Yeah, but it doesn't say how much I lost because AOL sucks...

They should automatically negate and double your score when they detect AOL :P

1144 here,
only thing it didn't like on mine was that my IE cache was set to 1000mb, said that is too high.

4 problems - disabled drivers - as clocker says they are disabled for a reason.
IE cache size too big - I usually use Mozilla Firefox, but adjusted anyway.
Drive C needs defragging - Only just re-installed so not surprising, good reminder.
Drive C unusually slow - same physical drive as drive D which is ok so it must be because of defrag needed.
So I could have had a score of 1490 - I'm well pleased with my new system. :D

Edit: retested after correcting "problems" - 1499 + 10 for disabled drivers = 1509.

Customized Tune-up Tips
• Check background programs
• Defragment files (Drive C)
• Unusually low performance (Drive C)
• Slow Internet performance
• Adjust IE browser cache size

I didn't bother closing any of my processes/programs down, since I don't really care. Loads of crap going so I don't mind about the unusual Harddrive performance.

Seems like a crappy site too, GoToMyPc? Like hell I'm downloading that....

It finds IE6 (which I used to do the test) a problem, as well as WinXP Service Pack 1. I doubt the test would work on Linux or MAC or whatever so whats that on about... ?

Your Score:
1749

On the more info thing it says my total bandwith is 4775 mb/s. I just did an AIDA test and it was 5300 or something... Same apps open too.

I have a 160GB HDD separated into a C: and a D:.

The D drive got a fine score, but the C drive got like 3500 and it said people with the same stuff had like 7500....whats up with that?

you gotta defragment it becuase if it is fragmented then reads will be slower and therefore u get lower results...and if your other partition isnt fragmented that would be why it is gettting the higher read speed.

but

Drive C has an uncached speed of 3.14 megabytes per second.

For comparison, systems with the same CPU and clock speed as this one have a speed of 7.25 MB/s.

I just defragged it too... :( C: and D: are on the same physical drive.

I got the same problem.

I defragged it, then made a ghost image onto drive d, then restored the ghosted image.
After that my speed went up to 5MB/s uncached.

The uncached write test is actually a nonsense test - how are you going to achieve this in real life? To prove how insignificant it is, look at the score you get from it - merely the speed in MB/s. Even if you got 7MB/s you would only get an extra 4 marks (plus 10 for no yellow flag).

Don't worry about that benchmark.
