You can download critical updates here (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/)

Or order a free (http://www.microsoft.com/security/protect/cd/order.asp) cd :)

you say it worked once, what did you get then and what do you get now, is your system date and time correct, sometimes that cause it not to go to the page and get updates.

Alright then, how soon do you need these updates?
if it's not a deathly emergency, order the cd for free here (http://www.microsoft.com/security/protect/cd/order.asp)
only 2-4 weeks shipping time, and not even any shipping charges or anything, depending on where you live

follow the steps by microsoft FROM HERE (http://s90860044.onlinehome.us/ChangingXPProfessionalCorporateProductKey.doc)

I have already changed my cd key about 6 times and I doubt the valid keys it lists are skill valid, all invalid.

Bebi

just curious but: why da **** you want them??? they dont really do anything usefull (except if you think hogging space on your HDD and slowing your comp down is usefull..........)

get: SP1 and the major security hole fixes and your g2g...........

---------------
it might be possible that you turned of the updates in services.msc or something like that (or have a great AV that sees microsoft stuf as a virus :lol: )

are you sure you have a correctly working version of XP???? and if your key is blacklisted, you prolly couldnt even download the updates...........

else get the XP from the verified section (works great!!!)

firefox

yes you have to have a valid key in there first

I have already told them where to get a free cd from above :)

@Bebi -- try updating this way. http://www.chinkii.com/uploads/album/misc/...ewindows645.JPG (http://www.chinkii.com/uploads/album/misc/updatewindows645.JPG)

Although I do not use that method, it might work if updating from the web fails. :)
