What antivirus uses the least amount of system resources (still reliable) and starts up the fastest, right now I have norton antivirus 2004 but it hogs resources and startsup really slow?

Right now im thinking AVG Antivirus but I don't know.

I use a layered protection scheme. I use little programs that do specific things. Not bulky programs that try to do everything.

My current protection is all freeware: Avast!4 home AV, Sygate personal firewall, SpywareBlaster, xp-AntiSpy, SpyBot S&D & ScripTrap. These little free programs stop virtually everything. :01: :01: :01: :01: :01:

Try looking into Symantec AntiVirus Corporate Edition. ;)

corp edition will take up less memory and start a bit faster, I use a corp edition of Mcafee that works great too. Currently it is 4.5.1 SP1

I'm using AVG right now and it's great, but I've used nod32 in the past as well, it is also quite well w/ using a small amount of resources
