A bootdisc is a disc used to boot non-sony (ns) games. It can be used to play backed up games or import games with a mod-chip or by other methods.

Some boot discs require the use of a mod-chip or they have to be used with AR, CB, or GS. I dont know what boot disc that is so i couldnt tell what all you would need. My advice is to try it out and if it works, let me know :D

SHOULD I BURN IT TO A CD OR DVD?

That depends if it is a Cd boot disc or a dvd boot disc. I would start out with burning it on a sd-rw if you have any, if not then just use a cd-r (you're only gonna lose about 25-40 cents for the disc if it doesnt work) If that doesnt work try a dvd +/- rw. And unless you dont mind losing a dvd disc, then go ahead and try it with a dvd-r

EDIT: the file name looks like it is a cd boot disc though

Cool... it would be great to find a way for people to play back up versions of games with out having to go out and get a pricey mod-chip

I know, you can't even use a bootdisc, if you have to burn it, has something to do with the disc surface itself, im lost
