Is this "cracky thingy" a Windows program?

Did you set the permissions so it is an executable?

Right click on it in your file manager and go to permissions tab and select executable.

I haven't mastered the chmod command so I don't know how to do it that way, so :P too all the 1337 linux users

Change the permissions to something crazy, like --rwxrwxrwx... unless you don't have permission to change permissions.
