Windows Wants To Load Nothing...

basicly i added a hard drive to a mates pc and it was partioned into 2 partions so i popd in win xp home disc and unpartioned it but it started installing windows untill it had installed devices then i turned the pc off and on again and just formatted the hard drive again through windows the only problem is that every time we turn on the pc it has like choose an option for ur pc to load:
Windows Xp Home edition
Windows Xp Home edition

now one of them is the non install which iv now wiped and one is my real install the problem being is the pc after about 2 seconds auctomaticly pickts the crappyed up one.

If i push down and enter quick;ly i can boot up windows fine, but how do i select it to automaticaly seclect the good one MUST BE FROM WINDOWS because it doesnt give me time to push anything because it chooses it to quickly.

Right click mycomputer - properties - advanced - startup and recovery settings - at the top select wich one you want to be your default. ;)

yes and from there you could delete the one that does not work. be care to make sure you delete the right one or you will be hosed.

You need to edit your boot.ini file. And besure to make a backup of it.

Yes my boot.ini is rather interesting. B)

That is why I posted it.

Anyway, the /SOS disables the windose splash screen. It actually boots up faster because of that, plus I get to see all the things that windows does while it boots up.
