I used to program a lot in Visual Basic 6, then i started to learn some basic Object Oriented Programming with Java and Delphi, now im wondering what is the best program to learn C# or VB .NET, i have already downloaded Visual Studio, but i find VB .NET and C# almost the same, can someone tell me wich one to learn and what are the differences?

Thanks

what are you looking to do with your programming?

Actually i would to know what makes C# and VB .NET so special, the apps that i have worked with by now just control basic stuff like Database management and SQL commands, Delphi works great with that...

Can someone just point me the benefits of each one and what are they capable of....

I have to go to sleep know, thanks for your help!

Neither are very good IMHO as they are both perversions of other languages, but i would go with C#. If you would like to know more, go here (http://forums.devshed.net). :)
