When opening Explorer or a Folder
It always opens to a certain size

I would like them to open to smaller \ narrower size

is there somewhere (registry\explorer.exe hex\etc) where i can Define the size myself?

(of course if i resize it, manually, and reopen explorer it opens to the smaller size - but if i reboot its back to the windows standard size - i have tried -resize manually-then in folder options- apply to all folders = no good)
There is somewhere where it tells it to open in the Default (hight x width) size.

I have a 1024x768 screen hence would like it smaller

Thanks in Advance

And No
its got nothing to do with-
in folder options - "remember each folder's view settings" is checked and "restore previous folder windows at logon" is not checked.

I would like it to open to - lets say 20 x 15cm size by default!

Found Solution
(thru other sites)

if windows dont do it naturally

remember to enable the option to "remember each folder's view settings" in folder options.

if you did that and it still doesn't remember settings, reset them. how?

regedit:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\ShellNoRoam\BagMRU
and
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\ShellNoRoam\Bags
delete the keys "BagsMRU" and "Bags".

in tweakui, change the number of remembered folders to something higher, like 800.

reboot.

start setting views again.
