ok this is my first time ripping a dvd. i always encode my movies i dl to kvcd with acp. now i wanna rip a dvd but i wanna know should i rip to avi or divx? once i rip it to 1 of the 2 formats i stated i will encode them to kvcd and burn them. so if i wanna encode 2 kvcd which is better avi or divx? thanks

Your kinda confused mate.An avi is a container for an audio/video stream like say divx/mp3 ,xvid/mp3 ,divx/ac3 etc..In other words you should be choosing between

divx or say xvid.,which one you choose the result will be an avi once you choose the audio format too. :)

As above. PLUS. you DON'T need to convert to any avi formats first to convert to kvcd.

You can convert to kvcd directly.

how can u convert to kvcd directly? i didnt c any guides on dvdhelp. o wait do u mean put the dvd in my dvd rom>open acp>on the conversion tab insted of clicking the avi source option click the dvd option?

yep :D , you can also convert it from ripped files on your hard drive.

i tried to rip it with acp but it didnt work :(

You should rip it to the hard drive first with dvd decryptor and then use acp to convert to kvcd.
