I often burn MPEGS to CD, and some play fine on my T.V. I have a few, including one that I *really* want to get to play on my TV, that says I need to use a video conversion program on the file before it will play on a T.V. Easy CD creator did not have anything in it that would work. What is it looking for? THanks for any help!!! :frusty:

Thanks. Everything I can find is talking about converting AVI files. These are MPEG files, so I hope it still works. I'll check it out, thanks.

There is a small program called Virtual Dub
which can convert between many codecs.

Did you just burn the *.MPG Files on the CD? Or did you make a VCD.

Cause some Standalone DVD Players can as well recognize *:MPG Files
on a CDr as my one did.

Look in the manual of you Player, there it should be mentioned which codecs
can be played.

um i am assuming that you are useing a stand alone dvd player to watch the movies on you tv

first are the mpeg's you have vcd compliant eg 352 x 288 and 1150 bit rate

second can the dvd player play vcd / svcd

some more info here would be great
