help me please. i accidentally shared everything on my computer and when i saw what i did i panicked and "deleted" them in kazzalite and now they are all gone. i redid the shortcuts to all my programs (outlook, YIM, AIM, S&D, etc.) but now my mileage log files for my company are missing and the file they were in is empty. what do i do? please help.

need more info. what version of kazaa lite are you running? were u in the "My Kazaa Lite K++" tab? etc. what are mileage log files ?

go to your recycling bin and see if they are there if they are just restore eveything, otherwise give us your os and we will see if there is a faster way then reinstalling the os

All those files are still on your disk, when you delete them you only remove the directions that tell the system where they are on the disk.
Get one of the many undelete programs available off the net. Download it and isstall on a CD if you can.
Try not to use your computer until you run the undelete because it can write to the disk space that has your deleted files on it that is why I said to try and work fron a CD.

One such program is Easy Recovery but take heed like as said don't load anything for now until you sort it out.

if you have xp just do a quick os repair with the cd it should take you no more then 20 minutes :lol: and it won't touch the files you already have :lol:

As far as data recovery goes, that's a terrible idea, MM. Sorry. :(

Well, he probably deleted his restore images too... lol. And even if he didn't, restoring all that data means massive disk activity, which means he'll lose all data since his last restore point. :P
