try something like cain and able (http://www.oxid.it/cain.html) it will find and crack passwords stored on your local machine so hopefully its still there.

i know that the messenger password was stored on the local machine in a very weak encryption in versions 3 & 4. Some hackers were able to decypher it, and the cracks are available on all of those crack sites. the only thing is that the person had to have logged on using the same computer and with versions 3 or 4 - which is highly unlikely.

Please note that AIMPR can recover YOUR lost or forgotten password only, extracting/decrypting it from your own system (if such information is there, of course). So it cannot be used to crack somebody else passwords
