Which Pc Games Kick Ass?

I am just starting to play on PC, which games are the ones to get?
I like games with a good story, maybe some action...
examples: Onimusha, Resident evil...

Are there games that good on PC, or that type of game at all?

UT2003/2004 Hate it.. guess im not a FPS kinda guy..
MAFIA naa... seems too slow paced for me..

thx, but its kinda hard to find out which games I would like from a rating on some site. People have different tastes, And I am very new to playing on PC.

yes some of them are slightly old but nether the less great games, all worth the download IMHO, and btw don't buy any of these games, download them. and i would defently say MAFIA as one of the greatest story driven games ever made, it gets much better as it goes along.

most of these are driving and shooting games.

pontifex is a good puzzle game.

the sims is great but i dont know why. its just cool

rollercoaster tycoon 2 is arguably one of the best games on the pc

and errrrr.

BF1942, its driving and FPS and everything else but its one of the best games ever
