i would say desk to laptops r hard to upgrade and u will get sick of the lap top lol.
just get a extunel hard drive so u can carry that to ur m8s house in sted of the laptop if thats what ur planning on doing. :)

Desktop exclusively.

@gungrave: desktops are only hard to upgrade if you don't know what you're doing. Desktops are easier (and cheaper) to upgrade than laptops

laptops cost a lot as well like £1,000 for a good one.
and u could get a super pc for that much :D

EDIT: if u got the money get both :P

Desktops have a LOT more space for storage too - you can just keep adding hard discs, can't do that with a lappy :P

I mainly use my desktop for leisure and my laptop for work at uni, although the laptop doubles up as a second home PC for when WeeMouse comes round.

Remeber guys, Laptops were not intially designed to play games on, they were made for portability.

I have a desktop myself. :)

I complain but noone listens. :(

I still don't get why someone would want to make it hard for someone else to help them.

Laptops crunch when you drop them, really nicely too when you drop them from three stories up! :D

That's pretty much the first feature I look for when purchasing a new electronic device...the "crunchability".

I miss having a desktop at school but I'm very pleased with my laptop. Now having an awesome desktop to play with and an ulta-portable laptop is ideal. Then maybe a super powerful laptop for LAN parties and other places where portability + power is an issue. Of course then there's also money...but I digress.
