I get the same message when I try to update IE6.
The copy of winxp I got was installed in the shop where I bought my comp,so it's supposed to be a valid copy, not?
I'ld like to see this problemsolved too but I'm not sure how...

I don't know if am supposed to say this but get the blue list keygen and create a winXP corp key. You’re going to have to find this yourself thought.

to change your key look here How to Reset your serial number in Windows XP™ (http://www.msfn.org/articles.php?action=show&id=1)

well,I didn't really pay for the xp on my computer,it was more like an extra he threw in for me(most likely a copy of a genuine cd).So is there a way that microsoft can see online that it's a copy of...?I don't know why else my upgrade get's cancelled halfway through ,getting the same message like you do.

i use the mr. dude serial changer, you can find it on kazaa lite. a guy in a shop told me to download it lol...

use one of the keys in it as theyve all worked for me, but if one doesnt work just try another.
