On amazon.com I have to pay $38.99 for it but on amazon.co.uk
I have to pay £65.59 which is $119.884, my point is how come
americans get things a whole lot cheaper? <_<

Same reason everything else is cheap everywhere but the uk

Did you know that Off-Liscence shops have 300% Duty on a bottle of wine?
Think about it like this
They buy it for £2, they put profit on (approx15% on wine) £2.30 , then the duty = £9.20 for this bottle of wine which should have cost you less than £3, yet in France you'll get the same bloody thing for about 50p <_<
Basically we in the uk just get hammered for tax on everything, I've spoken to people in other countries and I mentioned road tax........They don''t have it! <_<

We the British people are just scammed the whole time and aparently the UK is in debt............HOW?? <_<

Ok I'm gonna be swearing about this all day now

Edit: @Busy......Not at the moment it is'nt, we're nearlly $2 - £1 :D

British people have more money? How the hell did you work that out?

btw, as a helpful hint, just compare prices at http://www.play.com and http://www.towerrecords.com

Between the 3 of them you should find the cheapest price, but Play.com is in Jersey so there is no Next day del, takes about 3 or 4 days and they pretty good :)

Or spend £68 on a dvd burner and hire the movies you want and copy them :)
Brand new dvds cost me £2.75 :D

tell me why then Aussies have to pay $7 for a DVD/r/w each and $5 for a DVDr each and $1.40 each for a CDR

not to mention a 1.5 MB Connection (*The highest you can get here and if your Lucky enough to be teh 25% of people that it is available too ) for a $250 a month deal not to mention with a cap

you think UK is bad???

if you're talking AUD then £2 for a dvd/r/w isn't bad... neither is 50p for a cdr... the highest normal people can get in the uk is about 2mb... but it might be a little cheaper

AUD is almost the equivalent of CAD... 1 AUD = 1.00267 CAD

$7.50 for a Big Mac combo is blasphemy!! (even though I don't eat a Mickey D's)

It's $3.99 for the combo here.

That's not it the US Dollar is at an all time low compared to european euro and the british pound...

Maybe it's time to make a virtual currency, the KLD (KL Dollar) that would take away a lot of currency differences... If yes who make a tabel with currency ratings. Something like 1KLD= $1,5 or €1,3

I assumed the higher prices in GB were due to import costs..
What about the pricing of domestic items? Are they cheaper?
