I would rather have had Chris Pronger. There were rumors that he may have been available, but alas his contract in St. Louis has been renewed dammit. I swear my undies were damp at the thought of Pronger in a Leafs jersey. ;)

I also would rather have had Sergei Gonchar, but apparently Pat Quinn sat on his ass for too long over that one. As usual.

I still think it'll be a decent pickup for the Leafs, now if Kaberle would start playing like he did when Yushkevich and Markov were still around, they may have shot going into the playoffs.

Yes it's about hockey. The trade deadline for the season is on the 9th (I think).

Well, turned out to be a good choice.


The 36-year-old star defenceman dazzled in his Toronto debut Thursday night, picking up three assists, playing a team-high 24:51 and looking comfortable on the top pairing with Bryan McCabe as the Maple Leafs cruised to a 6-2 win over the New York Islanders.
