He was sentenced to death on Nov. 29, 2003.

I believe ten people were killed by either or both of the snipers; with 3-4 wounded.

John Lee Malvo will not be subject to the death sentence, owing to his age at the time he committed his crimes.

Bummer, there. ;)

I believe today the judge affirmed the jury's decision.

I don't really know why this was necessary, but...

The "will of the people" really seems to be taking a beating these days.

I remember running in and out of stores from the parking lot.

Why take chances? I was going to be a moving target.

Two people were shot around areas that I frequented (near my ex-girlfriends house).
The Shopper's Food Warehouse and Leisure World....both in Silver Spring, MD.

John Muhammed should burn and so should Lee Malvo. They shot anyone. They could have killed a Muslim and wouldn't have known it, yet they claimed to be doing it as Muslims against Americans.

Probably the safest thing for me would have been to wear traditional Muslim garb when going grocery shopping.

Sometimes I think of such things when it occurs to me that I live in an out-of-the-way place, geographically.

Even here, though (well, about 90 miles south of here), I had a shotgun slug come through the cab of a truck I was driving on a country road.

A deer hunter, of all things.

Not safe anywhere, huh?

OK this is what my punishment for him would be.

I would say to him that he is free to go and as he is walking along, have snipers shoot at him, very closely or shoot his hands or something.

He will try to run away but keep shooting him but dont kill him.

Then after around 15 minutes, (if he aint dead already) shoot him in the kneecaps then either shoot him in the head, or send him to prison injured.

Fuck him the dirty bastard and every other ass hole that kills then hides like a bitch behind their religion.

I would prefer exile or torture for him.

Prison life is just too easy for some.

Yeah but after the snipers get through with him then thrown in jail bleeding and shit, he will eventually die slowly bleeding to death crying like a little bitch wishing he didnt do what he did.

Then just about he is going to die, take him to hospital and when he is recovered, do all the above again untill he cant hack it no more and actually doens try to run anymore and just stands their.

The they should beat him to death with hammers

I prefer the slow mental torture myself...

Small cell, no windows, just a bed and a bucket to piss in...
small bowl of rice once a day,
No human contact (everything through a hatch), no tv, no books...nothing except 24 hours a day he should be subjected to the sounds of weeping, torture and pain combined with continual reminders of his crime...
He gets ill...tough, no medication, no hospitalisation
He can live in his own filth.
When he dies....
then the room can just be hosed down ready for the next scumbag.
Its a cheap way of dealing with him, Or am I too kind?

He'd make an appropriate test case for all manner of penalties; when we had exhausted our creativity, we could ask him which he preferred, eh? ;)

He definetly deserves it. A very sick person. I can't imagine the fear I'd be in if there was a sniper killing people every other day in my city.

Only positive i see is at least someone getting the deathpenalty who actually

committed the crime he was sentenced for..........

As positives go, that one is pretty significant. ;)

Even more positive would be no deathpenalty whatsoever.

We'll have to agree to disagree on this one, Yogs.

I am well and truly torn, but only insofar as which of the death penalty or life imprisonment (or something else which reeks of the punitive) provides the greater punishment /pain upon the offender.

Of course, this is providing the caveat of "beyond a reasonable doubt" is satisfied.

I'll assume you know what I mean by that. ;)

The fear that these guys struck in so many people, it's just disgusting. Now add that to the people they killed. These are human beings who do not deserve to live.

Damn....on Saturday I just drove past the Home Depot where the lady got shot in Virginia. That area is busy as shit!!! I mean reaallllly crowded!!!

Malvo said he was trying to shoot the husband but he kept moving.

That was a pretty long shot.
