I was thinking of building a barbecue, as the summer months approach. Can anyone tell me the best type of wood to use in it's construction. I want it to last for several years if at all possible.

I think you're a bit behind the times in your barbeque construction technologies, plastic is all the rage these days. Not only is it lighter, and thus more mobile, it is also completely waterproof so you can barbeque in all weathers.
