This is what happened tonight, try and keep up.
jetje makes a thread suggesting we keep more of a control on the multiple usernames.
This is discussed both in the thread and via PM.
An understanding is reached, thread is closed matter is laid to rest.
You come in a couple of hours late and miss the point by about half a mile.
It's sad, I know who you are and I know your agenda...give it up. You look silly...and are proving nothing.

I just spent ages typing a repsonse then I remembered that I don't really care that much about what others think...this is a forum ffs. We come here to have a laugh, post crap and chill.

i have a hard time not reading "crap". i get bored and look that word up on the net just to read it because its entertaining, but some people get upset when they read "crap" mostly because they are constipated and it brings back horrible memories of being unable to push brown. ......................it's sad :(

You've missed my point...every thread on this board slows it down a little..the people in the past gave something back to the board (even the spammers).
Now that isn't happening. It seems to me, and I don't really mind if anyone agrees with me is that some people would be better off using MSN to have a conversation rather than having conversations in almost every thread.

Though we obviously don't agree I could see where you were coming from with your other posts and took what you had to say on board.
But that is complete nonsense...the board doesn't slow down because of the amount of threads that are made...the board runs at the same speed it always did.
Of course people have conversations within the threads and go off-topic, and from these we have chats on MSN and other apps. The most popular thread(s) in this lounge with nearly 7,000 posts has been boab's chatbar...with it's one aim of giving a place for people to chat.
When I came to this board there was the Beautiful Day thread, a behemoth of a thread devoted to this. It's obvious, to me, that this is what people want to use the lounge for.
that is what makes this board the best on the net

No, the lounge hasn't always been good, but it has got worse, and it's people that "just want to have fun" that has made it worse.
I believe this board was originally set up to help people using K-Lite, and the lounge sort of developed from that..but the same people that used the lounge gave something back to the rest of the board, that isn't happening now...stupid threads, multiple accounts and spamming only slow things down for the majority of users.
As far as I'm aware people can come here and post what they want this is The Lounge...now I can agree that the multiple usernames got a little out of hand (something that was addressed tonight) but if most people want to post less sensible topics then who are you to say otherwise?
If people want to start silly topics then who are you to say that is wrong? Should we perhaps censor the board so it fits into your views on what we should be doing?
If some people don't want to read "crap" then don't feckin' read it...is it that hard?

Of course people have conversations within the threads and go off-topic, and from these we have chats on MSN and other apps. The most popular thread(s) in this lounge with nearly 7,000 posts has been boab's chatbar...with it's one aim of giving a place for people to chat.
When I came to this board there was the Beautiful Day thread, a behemoth of a thread devoted to this. It's obvious, to me, that this is what people want to use the lounge for.

Yup BB's chat bar is excellent, there's lots of conversation and jokes etc, but it's not that long ago that a memeber of this board was flamed by a lot of people (including myself) for taking over every thread and having a conversation/joke with it.
I try and not be hypocrittical and this seems to be exactly the same as was happening then.
I hear what you're saying, but think of the rest of the people that use the full board and not just of having a few laughs with your 'mates'

I prayed in the crouching room, by his blind bed,
In the muted house, one minute before
Noon, and night, and light. The rivers of the dead
Veined his poor hand I held, and I saw
Through his unseeing eyes to the roots of the sea.
(An old tormented man three-quarters blind,
I am not too proud to cry that He and he
Will never never go out of my mind.
All his bones crying, and poor in all but pain,
Being innocent, he dreaded that he died
Hating his God, but what he was was plain:
An old kind man brave in his burning pride.
The sticks of the house were his; his books he owned.
Even as a baby he had never cried;
Nor did he now, save to his secret wound.
Out of his eyes I saw the last light glide.
Here among the light of the lording sky
An old blind man is with me where I go
Walking in the meadows of his son's eye
On whom a world of ills came down like snow.
He cried as he died, fearing at last the spheres'
Last sound, the world going out without a breath:
Too proud to cry, too frail to check the tears,
And caught between two nights, blindness and death.
O deepest wound of all that he should die
On that darkest day. Oh, he could hide
The tears out of his eyes, too proud to cry.
