All you people that said, "Don't get 64 bit there won't be anything coming out for it," can eat your own hats!
If one was to get a free 64 bit Linux distro, one could, FROM THE BOX, use a 64 bit version of UT2004, which actually gains 20% performance wise over the 32 bit version.

I'll clear off my old hard drive and do a dual OS boot once I find a 64 bit Linux distro to d/l, and have some bandwith free.
Any Linux-ers out there, I could use some help :)
EDIT: The game comes out on Marth 19th by the way.
This (http://www.mslinux.org/) may help. I'm sure there will be a 64-bit release soon.
Seriously though, this (http://www.mandrakesoft.com/products/92/amd64) may the sort of thing you are looking for.

Opterons are dual CPU versions of the 64 FX.

The first UT had Linux support, Epic is leading the way for Linux gamers :)
CD3 of UT2003 contained the Linux installer for that too if you're interested.

I just can't wait for UT2k4 to come out, being playing the demo for a while now, and it's gotten me very addicted, but just sucks actually having to pay.
As for saying not to buy, I don't think anyone was really saying not to buy 64 bit, just don't buy right now, wait for more programs and O/S's to come out that support 64, and by then the hardware would be cheaper.
That's my plan, anyhow.
