I recently brought a Compaq laptop.

Nearly the same as yours

Athlon XP 1800+
256mb DDR Ram
CD-RW/ DVD-Rom
64mb ati graphics
TV-Out
20gb hdd
15.1" screen

I paid £500, It was a ex-demo from Compaq itself so I got warrenty and stuff.
Pretty good runs GTA Vice and Mafia with ease haven't tried anything else on it yet but it did give my old PC a run for it's money.

I don't think you could get that much, without a lot of lying, or finding n00bs that don't know anyhting about computers to buy it

You will be lucky to get $200-300 for it.

The price of a basic PC with much better specs than yours can be had from Dell for $499 (http://www1.us.dell.com/content/products/features.aspx/featured_desktop1?c=us&cs=19&l=en&s=dhs). You can find even better deals elsewhere.

Sell it to a sucker or better still, donate it to a local charity.

Livy has a laptop not a desktop, so i think it would probably be more than $499.
