Nero Burning Rom

Help!!!! I'm new to this. Just dled newest edition of nero, but am having trouble fitting dvd's longer than 80 minutes on a cd-r. Can i cut, and how?

thats probably because cd-r's are only 700 Mb and dvd's are generally a couple of gig

if ur goin to burn dvds onto cd-r 's im pretty sure there is a program which is designed for it and lets u burn it onto two cd-r's but itll stll be bad quality
