a good one?
that can hopefully search by extension and rename
(so i can find all .jpg's or .gif's in a directory and rename)
for example: i have some album covers, from AMG,
they are all filenames like '4655rr6376.jpg' or some shit like that :P
i would like to rename em all to 'folder.jpg'
(thats all that WMP will recognize to view em while playing the album)
or even a dos command will do

i found this during a search, was wondering if anyone has tried it,
and will it do what i am looking for it to do

LMAO at his disclaimer....

There is NO warranty of any kind supplied with this program. Use at your own risk!
(So don't blame me if it deletes windows and installs Linux ^_^)

af5 Rename Your Files or BatchRename possibly?
I haven't used them extensively, so I'm not sure if they're exactly what you're after.

Af5 Rename Your Files

Works great once you get to know how to use it.

It renames files you highlight to a name you specify followed by a suffix eg 01, 02, 03 etc etc
