Does anyone know when season 4 of six feet under will be on television? I just heard they started shooting the bloody thing.

also The Office (American version) will be on this fall.

Do you think this will work? I have my doubts. Be interesting to watch at least.

I'm a big CSI fan so I'm hoping that New York is as good as the other tow. The thing that I worried about is that I might get sick of seeing CSI 3 times a week. Its like they are trying to run this thing into the ground.

Now that's amazing for me.

I never get tired of it.

One thing that's smart is that the CSI shows all have vastly different locales.

Miami is the sunny place.

Vegas is the nighttime rural place.

NY will be the urban gritty place.

I agree with you. The only thing I worry about is that Gary Sinise's character is going to go the way of David Caruso's character on CSI: Miami.

I don't reckon it'll work at all. I think that the original is the kind of humour which would be lost on the American public. I'll dl a couple of episodes to have a look though

The new Method Man/Redman show is simply called

Method and Red

It looks like it is in the Bernie Mac/Malcolm In The Middle/Arrested Development format. (no stage set)

Interesting.

I just finished watching tonights episode of CSI: Miami and the trailer for next week came on.

It seems CSI: Miami is taking a page from the CSI episode Cross Jurisdictions in which a case involved and also introduced the Miami team. This kick started CSI: Miami.

Well next week's episode of CSI: Miami has a case that involves the New York team. I saw Gary Sinise in the preview.

I guess the CSI: New York show will start the week after next.

That's smart of CBS.

They actually won't be bombarding us with CSI shows at all.

If you notice, the seasons are staggered.

CSI's season was done about 3-4 weeks ago.

Miami's will be done soon.

New York will start in 2 weeks.

edit: Just got this off the best internet tv guide...Yahoo

I don't know what the hell I was thinking....CSI: New York starts in the fall.
New shows rarely debut in the summer.

It's off to the reruns.

It seems Rory Cochrane (Tim Speedle) from CSI: Miami wasn't fired.

He wanted to be let out of his contract.

He is in an upcoming movie.

Add:

Drawn Together to the list. It's on Comedy Central.

For years, the Barnes' family-run barbershop was a place where guys can get a trim while shooting the breeze about anything. But when the barbershop is sold out from underneath prodigal son Kevin Barnes (Marques Houston), he finds himself co-managing the shop with the new owner's spoiled daughter Tiffany (Shannon Elizabeth), a rich party girl who has never worked a day in her life. Despite their differing ideas of how to make the shop a success, Kevin and Tiffany will have to deal with the many challenges that arise when these two very opposite worlds collide.

I never got into SFU. I saw the very first episode and it was pretty good. Next thing I know I hear that it's like Queer As Folk but on HBO instead of Showtime. I definitely didn't bother then.

I like my gay cinema to be on the womanly side like The L Word. :w00t:

Weirdly enough, I actually like it's story too.

There is a lot more to SFU than the gay characters. If you have a somewhat open mind, and can accept the odd gay kiss (but nothing more - thank god), you're missing out.

IMO, part of its purpose is to open peoples mind (be it death, or homosexuality), but for that to happen they first have to watch it ;)

I say you give it a second a try, and keep your eyes closed as soon as the two gay characters come within reach of each other.

My old lady was telling me about an episode where the gay fella got into a big scuffle and was abducted or something. She said it was a very good episode.

Tbh, I've seen pieces of the show here and there but with so many better shows on I just don't have time to watch everything so I just nixed the show from my viewing agenda.

Give me the The L Word any day. That, 24, and the The Shield.

Unless you are a huge fan of sci-fi, I'd say skip the second season of The 4400.

Last year I watched the first 4 episodes and I was so extremely annoyed by the complete randomness of it all that I completely lost interest and deleted the last 2 episodes.

I later found out that the mystery on what happened with the 4400 was that they were taken by humans from the future to prevent a catastrophic event, or some bullcrap like that.

What's worse is that after watching the first episode I thought the show was gonna be awesome. I was totally wrong.

Rescue Me is the can't-miss event of the summer. Denis Leary is the bomb on this show. I've never seen a show that goes from being so extremely serious to so ridiculously hilarious so quickly, and back and forth. This show is a gem.

I haven't heard much about Over There but I will definitely check it out. It's based on the war in Iraq. The name of the show is kinda lame though, but maybe it's a hit. I guess it's kind of a watch 1 episode at a time and see if it "jumps the shark" quickly like The 4400, or if it's good like Rescue Me.

Other than that though, I haven't heard of anything good yet. Tons of bull$#it reality shows like Dancing With The Stars and that Hit Me Baby One More Time crap.

Then it's Nip/Tuck in September (FX rules - Nip/Tuck is the best show on TV, easily).

Lost begins on September 21st I believe, or somewhere around that date. I don't know if Jennifer Garner's pregnancy is going to delay the start of Alias, which is supposed to begin in the fall instead of January like it did this year.

24 is back on for another non-stop season in January, with a renewed 2-year contract on the show. Kiefer Sutherland is coming back, of course...

Rescue Me, Family Guy and The Daily Show should be enough to get me through the summer though. ;) Those are my recommendations...

I've seen the first three episodes of the 4400 and didn't like it.

It reminds me of Smallville in that a lot of the episodes consist of some random guy with superpowers screwing things up. The formula of the show is so old and recycled.

@Busyman

You can't compare shows like 24 and the shields to SFU though (not familiar with "The L Word"). Their worlds and pace of speed is completely different (not to mention, no gay kissing ;) )

A friend of mine loves Smallville and is always chirping about it. I can't get with the teenage demographic shows. Maybe one day I'll check it out at length. I have some of the seasons on disc.

The Inside was damn good.

It reminded me of Millenium, Saw, and Seven but as a TV show.

The debut episode could have easily been a movie (with some writing additions) due to the way it was produced.

It looks like Peter Coyote left one hit show, The 4400, to go to The Inside.

In both he played/plays the boss.

Surface (NBC changed the name form Fathom)

Ever wonder what life would be like if a new form of sea life began to appear in locales all over the earth? In this expansive drama, those who are about to find out include some naval officers in the South Antarctic Sea, a family in San Diego, scientists from the Oceanographic Institute in Monterey, and fishermen in the Gulf of Mexico. The seemingly innocent creatures they find are beautiful and kids may even want to play with them -- but is there something more to them? One thing's for sure -- they're full of surprises.

Masters of Horror is a new anthology series featuring prominent directors of the horror film genre who have joined forces to produce a series of new original horror films that promises to shock, terrify and captivate even the most discriminating horror film fans. The series grew out of an informal bi-monthly dinner attended by many of the horror genre's most highly regarded directors.

Slated to direct are Dario Argento ("Suspiria," "Opera"), John Carpenter ("Halloween," "The Thing"), Larry Cohen ("It's Alive"), Don Coscarelli ("Phantasm," "The Beastmaster"), Joe Dante ("The Howling," "Gremlins"), Mick Garris ("Riding the Bullet," "The Stand"), Stuart Gordon ("Re-Animator"), John Landis ("An American Werewolf in London"), Tobe Hooper ("Texas Chainsaw Massacre," "Poltergeist") and George Romero ("Night of the Living Dead") for a minimum of 13 one-hour films.

While some of the masters will be directing from their own screenplays, an equally impressive roster of writers will be contributing to the anthology, including Richard C. Matheson ("Tales from the Crypt"); celebrated horror comic book creator Steve Niles ("30 Days of Night," "Aleister Arcane"); noted horror writer David Schow ("A Nightmare on Elm Street 5"); Michael Brandt & Derek Haas ("2 Fast 2 Furious"); and renowned horror screenwriters Lawrence D. Cohen ("Carrie," Stephen King's "It") and Matt Greenberg ("1408").

Teleplay by Don Coscarelli & Stephen Romano
Based on the Short Story by Joe R. Lansdale
Directed by Don Coscarelli ("Phantasm," "Bubba Ho-Tep")

Based on Joe Lansdale's short story of the same title, this episode pits Ellen (Bree Turner), a seemingly defenseless young woman, against Moonface, a deformed and demented serial killer. As the story cuts back and forth in time, we slowly discover that our heroine is not as helpless, nor as innocent as she initially seems. Trained by her abusive husband Bruce (Ethan Embry) to be a survivalist, instructed to use any and every available object as a weapon in a time of need, Ellen gets to test the real life application of these lessons. Ultimately, chained to the floor of Moonface's horrific cabin with a most unsavory roommate (Angus Scrimm), she races against the clock to free herself before she meets a grisly fate. This gritty episode pits a strong female protagonist against evil incarnate.

24 - season premiere 4 HOURS - Sun Jan 15. & Mon. Jan 16 - 8pm (2 HOURS EACH

It seems Sean Astin (LOTR, Jeremiah) is going to be on 24. He is a straight-laced by-the-books CTU operative named Lynn McGill.
Julian Sands will play Vladmir Bierko, the main antagonist.

The new season will also tell how Jack became a counterterrorism agent. Peter Weller plays Christopher Henderson who is the federal agent that recruited Bauer 10 yrs ago.

Also there is a prequel to Season 5 in the new 24 season 4 box set. It takes place 1 year after season 4 and 6 months before season 5.

A long-haired scruffy Jack is hiding out in Chicago. Chloe secretly meets with him to warn him that his cover's been blown...but it's too late....

Season 5's beginning is a traumatic, explosive reentry for Jack. Only 4 people know that Jacks alive...maybe....

Hyperdrive - Started last week, it's like a lightweight Red Dwarf starring Nick Frost. I wanted to like it because Nick Frost is in it but the first episode was pretty dire. Fingers crossed it improves...

Shameless - Series 3 was back a couple of weeks ago, truly great television. Possibly my favourite TV show at the moment. Deaf-mute signing "Fuck off you paddy cunts" after being pushed off the car park roof was comedy gold.

Another new one, I haven't watched this one yet but it looks interesting.

Life on Mars: DCI Sam Tyler's world is about to be turned upside down. Moments after his girlfriend and colleague, Maya, is kidnapped by a serial killer, Sam is knocked unconscious by a car and wakes up - in 1973.

Sam discovers that, in this strange new world full of cigarette smoking, gum chewing, unreconstructed men, he's a DI starting his first day in a new precinct.

Dazed and confused, Sam finds it difficult to focus on the case his new colleagues are investigating. But he discovers a connection between this murder and the serial killer who kidnapped his girlfriend in 2006. Could solving this crime be the key to getting home and saving Maya?

I saw HyperDrive as it's been repeated about 30 times already. Nick Frost is usually very good, Shawn Of The Dead was comic gold but so far it's only been so-so.

Shameless has always been quality. The X-Mas special where they get dodgy meat is a good episode, as is the one when Debbie sells porno's of people to her friends and starts up her own little business. It's a shame Steve went as i quite liked him.

Havn't seen Life On Mars yet.

I will say that if you say that a show isn't good that I wouldn't pay it any mind. You think 24 has been bad thus far? Weird. :dabs:

However, if you said a show was good, I would probably watch it since you seem to be pretty harsh on a show.

Yeah haven't finished watching the first ep. of Big Love yet. I'm on the second Sopranos now.

I already saw the Doctor Who episodes off downloads back when it was on in bratland. Now that I know it's coming on over here, I won't be downloading the second series that's coming on soon over there. I'll just wait. No rush.

I am getting sick and tired of Sci-Fi not being in HD though. A show like that needs Hi-Def. A channel like that does for that matter. It's a damn travesty.

Prison Break season 2 has been greenlit and starts this fall. Production starts mid-June.

They will break free by the time the season ends on May 15.

3 main characters will be killed off in the last 2 episodes.

Season 2 will be like "The Fugitive" in which the characters will try to elude capture. Producers have not decided whether the show's title will change to reflect the change in direction. Locations in New Mexico are being scouted since part of the new storyline is set in the southwest.

Yeah I've seen that before. Thanks.

It's always missing some shows. For instance it's missing promising shows like The Underground (which will hopefully fill the void that Chappelle's Show left), Dexter, Kidnapped, Master's Of Science Fiction, etc.

I use a different source. Again, thanks anyway.

Plot Outline:
A drama about the lives of a crew of professional criminals.

Summary:
SMITH stars Emmy Award winner Ray Liotta as a criminal mastermind in this drama about a close-knit crew of criminals who plot and execute high-stakes robberies. Though Bobby Stevens (Liotta) appears to be a regular family man with a nine-to-five job, he's actually an expert thief who is seeking a few last big jobs so he can finally leave the business for a comfortable, lawful lifestyle with his wife, Hope (Virginia Madsen), and their two children. While they never discuss Bobby's illegal pursuits, Hope is growing weary of turning a blind eye.

What 2 bad guys? Stringer Bell is dead but Avon is in jail. Omar (the gay gangster) is alive and Marlo is the new leader in the streets. Anwan Glover (Slim Charles) is from DC (used to play in a local go-go band.

As far as plot...

Season 1 was the streets
Season 2 was the streets and the Baltimore docks
Season 3 was the streets and politics
Season 4 is about the streets, education system, and politics

I love this show as well. Funny too that parts of Baltimore are really that bad. Baltimore is where I go to the drive-in movies, the harbor, and Patapsco Flea Market.

If you like the Wire you should check out Brotherhood. Not as good but somewhat similar.

Some people on another forum compared the way they encounter each other to the connections between people in Lost, but I think it might lead up to them all teaming up or something, so it could be neat.

I was pretty diappointed by Friday Night Lights. They have the right basis, but I felt it was all predictable and waaay too dressed up.

Nine looked a bit slow, but promising.

I haven't watched 'em yet. I watch HD shows first cos they take up more space (more than double that of standard def shows).

Holy fucking shit dude, Season premier of season 3 was just unbelieveable, watch it ASAP. The ending of 3x02 is just fucking killer, who ever wrote the script did a stellar job, director kicked as much ass too. Total cliffhanger at the end.

BSG is the best show on TV right now.

Well the one entertaining thing about it was the parallels with the Iraq War.

I like The Wire better, however.

Agreed. Just got round to watching it, this show has great potential. I might have to read the two novels it's based on as well.

Yeah I gotta still watch last night's ep.

They picked the right guy to play him too (the gay fella from Six Feet Under).

I like when he says, "If could feel anything for a person it would be her" referring to his "sister".

I can't believe they cancelled Smith and replaced it with re-runs of CSI :(

I've only seen the first two, but it looked like it had real potential - kinda like a TV version of Heat.

I feel more sorry for Ray Liotta tho - moved down to TV and still got cancelled!

Yes I'm very impressed.

Interesting, I haven't seen last night's episode but
he seems to retain all injuries from the previous go round.

This season's Master's Of Horror is quite good as well. Very gory.

Yup it's a 75% improvement over last season.

Nightmares & Dreamscapes was also disappointing besides the story Battleground starring William Hurt.

Those toy army men were fucking him up! When they shot their mini-rocket launcher I almost died laughing.
