does anyone know a program that i can take a song and erase the vocals and add different ones. kinda like what some dj's do with lets say 2pac's music. how they put his vocals with diff. music. is there a program i can buy somewhere???

you could probably use cool edit or soundfourge to remove most of the vocals from the songs.

if you wanna do this with 2pacs music they normally release the acapella and instrumental version of most of his songs so people can use them. its common practice these days since they can then charge a fee to who ever makes a popular song out of it.

sadly, unless you have access to the original master recordings, you cannot truly remove just the vocals.

it is technically impossible to remove just the vocals from a CD or a downloaded song.

music editing programs can lower the volume or remove the audio from a particular frequency range(such as the vocals), but the volume of any music at that same frequency will suffer as well.

this is not a hard and fast rule. some new music is just plain so simple that you can achieve moderate success with readily available software. so it's worth giving a try.

good luck.
