he told me to ask you guys if theres a program that can change a fullscreen movie or any kind of video into widescreen , cuz hes been burning some movies and tvshows into dvd but after he converts them and burns them the subtiltes cant be read cuz the video has been streched , so you can only see half of the subtiltes , well if theres not , he wants to know if he can move the subtitles up with some program , well let me know , thanx.

it only happens when he wants to watch it on tv , when he sees the dvd in the computer the subtitles are fine.

the tv is 4:3 , and he says that when he burns it , in the aspect ratio he chooses 4:3 , hes used a bunch of difrent programs , nero , roxio , neodvd , etc. and they all do the same.

I think THATS why he's chopping the bottom off you have to keep it in the original aspect have a look here and you'll see how to use Tmpgen.

These are a must to make sure you have NO bad frame BEFORE converting to mpeg.

He also might be better looking at kvcd if his dvd can play them less disc's.

try to encode them first tru "tmpgenc 2.5 "after than if you have dvd writer you could use" tmpgenc dvd author".but if dont have a dvd writer you could use "ulead dvd movie factory or "neodvd plus 5" and burn them to vcd or svcd.
