Bsplayer Issue

I've been trying to figure out something for a while now. Sometimes when I play movies (usually AVI's) the screen pixelates for a bit and continues throughout certain points in the file. It also happens in Media Player Classic, WMP and Winamp but does not occur in DivX Player.

My question: Is this a codec problem or something else?

if it pix in multiple players then its the avi its self that is encoded bad, there is a tool which can try and fix it but it wont get it perfect
