Ukman- Where Is He? [Archive]

I noticed that UKman had moved to Rikk and Cowsy's and even moderated a section there.

About a month ago, Jonno did something that got blown out of proportion (I have no idea what, just got the jist from an apology by Jonno) and UKman stepped down from his position and has not been seen there since.

Where did he go?

Such hysteria at that board, I think it needs a testosterone patch. :lol:

At Rikks, I sense a lot of real tension, masked by smilies and such.

That is why I recommended the "testosterone patch", as men tend to punch each other and move on.

Women tend to dance around the real issue, talk behind one anothers back, and superficially act as though nothing is wrong.

There's no tension on that board anymore. There was, it was cleared up. We've found discussing it worked a whole lot better than pretending it hadn't happened.

If there are still "discussions" at various times, so what? We're a small community of strong personalities, there will be arguments. We pushed the board as a place where you could have freedom of speech, that got buried in huggy smilies for a while, but you have to remember we are all finding our feet over there.

The board is evolving.

BTW, UKMan is still a Global Mod there. :)

We are all members here too. You might be king but we have a perfect right to be here and discuss anything we choose. Just like everybody else.

:unsure: That's how it should be anyway. It doesn't seem to actually happen like that in practise.

He use to be part of the MusicWorld Family along time ago.But something about not haveing a Hard Drive always kept him away.Hell.$30 get you a 40 GB drive now.We let him get away because our cheap asses did not get up $30 and buy him a Hard Drive. :(

Okay... now the question has been asked, I will answer for those who have a genuine interest in Ukman..

UK is still global mod at RnC's.. and Admin there is well aware of what is happening with him and are 100% supportive of him.

He hasn't posted in over a month because UKbabe isn't very well right now.

I don't intend to go into specifics, but just to stop everyone from speculating, thought I should say something.

I received my latest email from Uk yesterday (Sunday morning my time) and he has said that he will not be online for some time yet.

He isn't at home so there is no point flooding his email as he cannot access them. And for those who will no doubt wonder... he has had to open a new account where he is staying because he can't remember the passwords to his normal email accounts.

I'm sure he would be grateful for the concern shown by his absence but as he asked me yesterday, please don't be too concerned.

If anyone wants further updates you can either contact me, or Skweeky who I pass the information onto as I receive it.

You actually conformed what I had been concerned about, and hence, this thread. His disappearance did not fit in with my "idea" of UKman. He might leave one forum and go to another, but for him to leave all the forums cold turkey, just ain't UK.
