If you have a copy of the Windows XP install disk then you can simply make an image of the disk and then burn it to CD. If you don't have the install disk download a copy.
You can find out your product id by clicking on My Computer -> Properties
Do you mean write windows to a CD and boot it up and run XP without installing?
I don't think that's possible with windows, but you can with Linux.

Yes you can burn windows xp to cd-rom and run it. Look Here (http://www.nu2.nu/pebuilder/)
If you want to backup your copy of your os (XP) then use a disk imaging software like norton ghost.

My Computer> properties is the registration number.
To get the product key try viewkeyxp.exe from here. (http://www.mvps.org/marksxp/WindowsXP/prodkey.php)
