I have a eithernet card from road runner on a comp of mine and the drivers from the cd wont copy over cause they are messed up or something, i want to know how i can fix this? the product is by SOHOWARE 10/100 PCI Adapter SFA110A Version 3.0R.

What do you mean by that? You have to install them from command prompt? If you've found drivers then you should use them.

XP should have its own drivers. I suspect the device isnt installed properly, take it out and plug it back in.

Another possibility could be IRQ conflict, but we won't go into that at this stage because its 1.38 am here in the UK and i need some sleep. :sleep1:

it says device is working but it isnt connecting to the internet.

ah , so its saying in network connections that its there and enabled, just that its disconnected yes

To be perfectly honest and Logical, this sounds like a problem you should be consulting with your isp about.

I have had service with Roadrunner before and they will fix your problem if you just pick up a phone and call tech support. It's free! :phone:

i have the drivers and all but no internet on that comp the connection is going through my router from my comp to that comp but no internet working on that comp. help please.

Have you tryed xp network setup wizard? Programs ,accesories, communications,

also if its enabled , its goit nothing to do with the drivers

check the cable you are using between the comp and router, make sure the cable is standard and not a cross connect p2p type cable or it wont work

once you get it enabled and connected then and only then do the internet wiz
