edit, -GS- :

Given the feedback, the board rules and carefully rethinking about
this, i have now removed the original link. The songs in the Mix are not made by
djweiser, in fact, they are copyrighted songs (I do believe so, if not, prove me wrong)
thus making the link against the rules. Sorry about this but this is what I do here.
PM send to djweiser also.

Today, myself, TClite and Lamsey were in the union and the staff had left the televisions playing the music from MTV at the same time as the Jukebox music. The two tracks were totally out of sync and totally different styles. So, Lamsey says "that sounds almost as bad as a DJweiser mix"

I think it was ok :)

Personally I hate that crap, But!!.....I apreciate that he done it himself and mixed it, I know how tedious that can be and I think he done it well :)

I believe you should never knock someone unless you can prove you can do better, if you can't then they have done something you can't, therefore, it's good :)

I disagree with you here, Jonno. For instance, I can't drive aswell as a Formula One driver (I think that's obvious), but I can look at Tarso Marques, compare his performance with Michael Schumacher, and say Tarso is a piss poor driver.

Same goes with DJ'ing, imo :)

Right...first off it's in 64k wma...now, I'm not generally a "codec-nazi", but I hate wma files.
Secondly, the "musical style" (hahahahahaha!) is not of my liking.
Thirdly, I've heard the first vocal track many times in my life (my brother used to play it), so I disliked it hugely already).
Fair enough, the mix from first to second track was good, but how many attempts did it take, djweiser?
I stopped listening after about 2 and a half minutes.

After listening to it, my opinion hasn't changed much.

It's not that hard to start an F1 car actually, Jonno, you just sit in the cockpit, stick your hand up, and a mechanic will start the car for you ;)

You have (wrongly I might add) assumed that I was using experience as a judge of talent, this is not the case...Ricardo Patrese is among the top F1 drivers in terms of starts, but how many GP has he won? Surely by your (incorrect) assumption, he should be World Champion many times over?

Oh, and I've had a license to drive since I was 17 and a half exactly (about 20 months or so now)

Thats better :)

But you sound like you're judging it on a grudge you got against the song :)

The point I was making is rather than people saying "Oh man that was crap" , it would be much more helpful to say "Yeah it was'nt bad, you should try......"

Try and be helpful, nobody every done something perfect first time, everyone was a beginner :)

Actually thats not bad tbh. I hate the closed minds of some.....I love rock n roll music, I live my life for it, i play my guitar like theres no tommorow but im not goin to adopt musical snobbery and dismiss it because its done by someone I didnt like....musics all about passing a feeling from one person to the next, and this gives a good euphoria vibe.....not bad.

Thanks for your comments....

I was more intersted in the mixing side of it, more than personal music taste.

That isn't really my favourite type of music either, but i didn't have a choice - i had to mix club tunes for this one particular guy.

If anyone would like a mix doing for "Filesharingtalk" please discuss it here :)

When i go to some bars (for a beer and chill), they play stuff like this.
Thats the part about some bars i dont like.
Just a personal view.
I guess its not really bad what you did, the mix, but then again, I dont care about this
kinda stuff, its just a mix, its not like you made the song(s).
You're going to find it very difficult to get any credit from ppl like me, if that is what you want. Why not try to pull the songs together in, lets say Fruity Loops and
add some beats & melodys on your own? That would make this totally different ballgame.

I take Jonnos videos over this anytime, just because he plays an instrument.
He did some work to understand something about melody,
he didnt just slammed together some songs as i see what you did.
And, bear in mind that I know very little about DJ:ing and that is fairly obvious is it not?

;)

And on a less serious manner:

I have a car, lisence to drive it and some Guitar gear.
Does that make me valid DJ? Or a churchorgan like it was stated elsewhere.

Sorry for been attention-prostitute, and a some-what virgin at that.

:D

I have not listened to this "mix". However I would point out that if this is a link to copyright protected material then it is surely against forum rules.

Unless of course the artist has given you permission for their music to be used.

I don't really understand the concept, so this may all be nonsense.
