If i want to connect to the Internet threw a Adapter I have to Disable NISP 2004

Is there anything i can do to NISP 2004 so I can connect to the Internet and still have NISP 2004 Abled?

Use zonealarm? Do you mean norton internet security is giving you problems?

For one thing, you can leave NIS at it's default security levels.

If you are using a router, why would you even need to bother with something so resource-consuming as NIS? Perhaps choosing something of lighter weight may serve you far better.

When you say &#39;adapter&#39; do you mean network card? If so, how does your brother connect to the router without a netwrok card?
How are you trying to connect to the internet? ADSL? Cablemodem? Modem?

Please tell us what is plugged in where and how you/your brother connects to the net.
