whats the simplest and most easy program to use to simply cut off the end of an avi file?

how big is it, most likely will fit but you have to turn on over burn

and easy video splitter works good, but again you shouldn't have to modify any movie you download to adjust for size for it to fit on a normal cdr

Open VirtualDub and drop in your video file:

Move the time bar to your desired start time and click on the "start offset" arrow, as shown here:

Then move the bar to the desired end time and click the "end offset" arrow:

Then you have to choose your video compression. Go to video>compression and select a codec:

Then just save the file in your desired location:

what do you mean? its 719mb and i want to save it to a normal cd-r as just an avi file.

i have nero 6. How do i burn it using that and turning on over burn as u mentioned?

file->preferences->expert features-> check "enable overburn"

it still wont fit using over burn. its only 719mb and it says its to big. what i do?

Do as 4th gen as said but before you save it DON'T pick a codec just make sure under video/audio the dot is on direct stream then save.
