View Full Version : Is It Harder To Get Songs Lately ?

I get the feeling that there are no where near as many songs on KL as there were say 6 months ago.

Do others agree, eg sometimes whn you search for major artists there is very little choice of songs, esp above 128K.

Is this because of the RIAA or are people using other P2P progs ?

Thanks

Its not just you.

Songs from major artists on P2P programs are usually corrupted mp3s....well...mostly on Kazaa. Ares and Blubster mostly have the real deal.

well if you do decide to check out soulseek go here (http://www.slsknet.org/), and not to that fake german spyware and what not site. Oh and do share there or be prepared to be banned from downloading A LOT. :D

I actually find it easier by the day to find new music...
however, as Funky said we're not much into dl'ing singles 'cause we can have the FULL albumz... So if you're planning to join, there are some ground-rules for not getting banned:

1. Share full albumz, well organized and tagged
2. Don't share your incoming folder
3. Share full albumz, well organized and tagged

If you do not follow theese rules Funky will show up at your door with a baseball bat....

Whats good about sharing you incoming folder?

Right, nothing, just dont share it because it shows up when im looking for full albums, and I dont need incompletes. And I asume theres incompletes in the incoming folder because if they were completes you would have moved them!

well my folder with my incoming folder is shared buts its labeled incomplete and to be checked, that at least warns the people

if you have a folder called My Music My Shared Folder with 400 mp3s in it... well your classified as a noobtisicarastic

good thing about it if you´re like me and never bother moving folders to the "complete" folder is that you´re actually sharing more as you download. I have a "complete albums" folder, but it has not been updated for QUITE some time.
