i have just dumped my boyfriend by a text because he has been showing me zero respect so i thought i would repay the sentiments

Dont you think by lowering your standards that you will come out of this the worse of the two. Who will remember the guy who showed little sentiment toward his girl friend? As compared to who will remember that 'bitch'* who dumped her boy frined with a text message. :(

i agree with your point big boab and i did deliberate whether or not to do it for a couple of days, the straw that broke the preverbial camels back was finding out that he has been sleeping with prostitutes :(
