Is it possible to create a login on Windows XP which will disable all startup items in msconfig when you login?

[Startup items i mean are found by:
start>run> "msconfig"
select "selective startup"
untick startup items]

What i want is a login which doesn't load everything that is required by Windows XP so when i am playing games my machine runs quicker (without having to upgrade hardware) by using this login.

Anyone able to help with this request or have a similar suggestion on how to increase my pc performance when i want to play games.

Cheers

Don't know about the login but this site has a few good tips. You use the menu on the left.

Another hardware profile guide is at Black Vipers site. http://www.blackviper.com/WinXP/xpprofiles.htm

Many of your start up programs are started in the registry at HKLM/Run. You can use Start Up Control Panel (http://www.mlin.net/StartupCPL.shtml) to change them to start up by user.

It will install in your control panel as "startup". Right click any entry in HKLM/Run and choose send to > start up (user).

edit: typo

i think the best way is to make another partition, using partition magic 8, to install another copy of windows XP and use the gaming registry tweak on that black viper website.
