How can I Decrease my CPU Noise?

because now im thinking about leaving my comp on 24/7 since it cost to much if I turn on my comp everyday and turn it of at night.

And the problem is that my computer desk is rite next to my bed and my CPU is to loud.

or a fan controller and just lower the rpm of them, in any case, it is still a hardware problem and has nothing to do with software....

geez marie, no it wont slow down but it may overheat esp if you have it overclocked

just go buy a new cpu fan, thats quiet, but keeps you heat under control

your comp will not run slower, but your fans will and therefore your temps might be abit higher but your system would be a bit quieter
but fan controllers can get expensive, you'd be better off just getting some quieter fans, what is your current fan situation at the moment?
and are you trying to quiet your whole system or just your cpu??

if that's the case, what you most likley want is a new heatsink, not just a regular fan

open ur case up. put ur ear next to the fans and see which makes it.

the best idea is what some one else said replace ur fans.

ok u see with ur stupid terms of cpu being the case ur making us confused

anyways, if i understand right you have a fan on your heatsync (the big metal thing attached to your cpu (real cpu, not case lol) and you have oine case fan at the back.

if you are sure the cpu fan is the loud one, then i recomend you buy an 80mm fan and a 80mm-to-60mm fan adaptor. they can be bought for very cheap prices.

btw, what are your current temps? (check in bios or with a program called motherboard monitor)

not all computers need f1. some ned f2, or f3, etc. some need delete key.

anyways bios is where u set up stuff for ur motherboard...cant explain someone else will or search google lol.

here is that 80mm-to-60mm fan adaptor incase you were wondering what it was...

80mm-to-60mm fan adaptor (http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=612727&Sku=C250-3614&CatId=497)

you attach an 80mm fan (which is quieter than the cpu fans) to the large end, the small end attaches to your heatsync...inplace of your 60mm fan...

Definitions of sarcasm on the Web:

witty language used to convey insults or scorn

a form of verbal irony in which apparent praise is actually harshly or bitterly critical.

A stinging remark usually containing irony used to wound feelings

A generally bitter comment that is ironically worded. However, not all ironic statements are sarcastic. Sarcasm is usually a way to mock or ridicule something

Ironic isnt it
