Yes, I know that, but I&#39;ve never understood exactly what constitutes a run in cricket. :(

You get them for running between the wickets.

Or if the ball goes over the boundary without hitting the ground, it is 6 with out running.

If it hits the ground, or rolls along it and reaches the boundary that is 4.

It&#39;s obvious really.

Akin to running from home to first base and back, in American baseball?
