Rap is not music, it's poetry.

How is that difficult to understand.

The thing they call "freestyle" (I think) is just improv.

There may or may not be a backing track of noises, or sometimes synthesised muzak.

I make no comment on it's merits, or worth. It is art, just not music.

Personally i think they sell samples of good old day tunes with the addition of people talking between the "samples".

and the real freestyle stuff isn't selling imho...
but i gues some people like it.... ;)

I might be tempted to agree if you'd consent to take it back a bit before '95; say, before NWA?

"Baby Got Back" is about the end of it for me, although I bought "Rebel Without A Cause" for "Devil Without a Cause" and "Cowboy".

I like the melodies. :D

It's actually not fascinating.

I have to run telephone cable from the 3rd floor to the parking garage level to the main telephone room.
The main telco room has the underground cable coming from the central office (where all the numbers come from in a given area).

I then run cross connect wire from the main telco cable to the cable that I ran (with a junction of course) and that sends the telephone numbers to the 3rd floor.

I told ya.

It's basically grunt work.

The only thing nice about the job is:

Once you are a telecom technician, you can work anywhere. Even after I retire from here, some business will need the expertise.

There is alot of adventure in this job, especially in DC. I go EVERYWHERE here....except the White House (they have their own techs from our company).

T1's are a hot commodity, along with DSL. These big business depend HEAVILY on them. There is some satisfaction in providing service but in the end...give me my paycheck.

btw I actually get tons of work done. It's I sometimes have slow periods when I'm waiting on the Central Office to wire my lines (to send them outside).
