Another New Soulseek Test

test3i allows you to initiate uploads to other users, and of course, accept them. by default, only people who are on your "upload permitted" list will be able to send files to you. use the file sharing configuration window to change the access level and see your upload permitted list. adding and removing users to your upload permitted list is done through the user context menu, which works from nearly everywhere. to send files to another user, use "send files" in the same user context menu. this will open a browse window of your own files, which will let send either individual files or entire folders to the selected user. this involved a lot of additions to the code, so expect problems.

also noticed they fixed the bug where you have to keep ticking that dam "waiting server send" everytime you open it up

it works alright was away 1 hr and mad cat sent me some porn :lol:

I liked it at first... But i found an annoying bug yesterday.

Files keep ending up in my download window. And those files are files people are downloading from me at the same time.
It means SS is trying to download my own files from people that are downloading those files from me.....
So it comes up with the error message "Remote file not shared"
And those files keep coming back as well even after restarting SS.

Thank God i made a backup of the previous version 154testh.
That also has a bug in the general options (last option won't stay saved)


Too bad.. the new options were ok in the test3i version!
And the ticker sucks of course.


Let's just wait for the final version.

If you:
Disconnect SoulSeek,
Clean / empty your upload queues,
Exit SoulSeek.

Then:
SoulSeek wont crash,
The up and downloads wont mix up.

Once SS gets all these fucking Bugs fixed I might be back.But there are just too many Problems right now.

Just go back to 153 or 152.....believe me, the speed will start dropping soon enough.

Cannot use your user name again? Dude, nobody even cares what it says in the K/sec column......it would be a huge shame and loss if you actually stopped using the prog because of a bug.

Someone else please tell FC that it&#39;s not really important what the speed says.............

Damn, I could go on and on here.....but for what......just forgetaboutit and get your @ss back there.

So, I&#39;m confused... I installed the new test build, 154i (think that&#39;s it).. looks just like the last one... however the ticker no longer scrolls smoothly... its seems to &#39;stop and go&#39;, kinda freezing up... anyone else having a similar problem? I have to admit, I do like the new fast hashing for the file indexing.. kinda neat actually watching it index them.. :music1:

AS far as the Ticker goes.....I turn the stupid thing off - solves all the problems associated with it.

You can always go back to an earlier version that worked well.

The FAQ page says vers 152 or later is mandatory but I&#39;m using vers 149c with no problems. :)

I&#39;m officially back to v.153

There are some crazy bugs in the new 154testi - I&#39;m not badmouthing it, just letting you knwo. I appreciate the work they put into the program, and will go with whatever is the official version is......though I must say, I am looking forward to the full release of 154.

Until it&#39;s out, 153 is my choice......

;) I say they shut everything down and have a Team work on Version 154.Hell shut SS down for 2 weeks.Some of us were there when it was down for almost a Month it seemed.
