software back up:
1) I don't know how to back my software up on a cdr. I have a cd/dvd -r/-rw.
I put a bunch of files in a folder (videos, mp3, software installers, documents, etc.). Then I dragged the folder to the cd drive with the blank cd in it. Windows proceeded to transfer the files into the cd. When I formatted the computer and reinstalled windows, I put the cd with all my files in it into the cd drive. But the files would not copy back to my hard drive.
Is there a specific software I require to put files on to a cd, then put them back into a computer. I'm sorry if I'm stupid because I have no idea how to do this.
2) If I download a game such as simcity4, what are the steps i need to take to put the game on a cd and install it in order to play? When i download a game file, I really don't know how to use it.
